The Ocean Colour Climate Change Initiative (OC-CCI) attended the ESA Co-location & CMUG meeting last week, which brought together the ESA Climate Change Initiative (CCI) projects and the Climate Modelling User Group (CMUG) community.
The meeting provided an important opportunity for exchange between data providers and users, supporting dialogue across the CCI and CMUG communities.
During the meeting, OC-CCI presented a poster showcasing initial results from Phase 2 of the project, alongside updates on the extension of the in situ data record. The poster highlighted recent progress in developing and extending long-term, quality-controlled ocean colour data records to support climate research and modelling applications.
Participation in the ESA Co-location & CMUG meeting helps ensure that OC-CCI developments remain aligned with user needs and continue to support the wider climate and Earth system modelling communities.
