Representatives of the ECO-MOSAIC project participated in the Climate Change Initiative (CCI) Colocation & Climate Modelling User Group (CMUG) Integration Meeting 2026, held in Harwell, United Kingdom, at the European Space Agency’s ECSAT facility on 24-26 March.

The meeting brought together leading researchers, modellers, and stakeholders working at the forefront of Earth observation. During the event, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on colocation strategies, data integration, and opportunities to strengthen collaboration between the CCI and the CMUG. These exchanges highlighted the importance of improving the accessibility, usability, and overall impact of Essential Climate Variables (ECVs) and Essential Biodiversity Variables (EBVs) for climate and biodiversity research. The meeting also provided an opportunity to present the ECO-MOSAIC project, an initiative that applies ECV and EBV products to better understand and assess the impacts of climate change on species distribution across Europe. Participation in this meeting strengthened connections with the wider Earth observation community and aligned ECO-MOSAIC activities with ongoing European and international efforts in climate and biodiversity monitoring.
