Last week, the CAMP project attended the ESA Climate Change Initiative (CCI) Co-location & Climate Modelling User Group (CMUG) Meeting 2026, which brought together the CCI community and climate modelling users to share progress and discuss future directions.
On the first day of the meeting, Professor Shubha Sathyendranath presented an overview of the CAMP project, highlighting its objectives and initial results. This was followed on the second day by the presentation of the CAMP poster, providing further opportunities to showcase the project’s work and engage in detailed discussions with colleagues.
The meeting offered a valuable chance for CAMP to connect and exchange ideas with other projects, strengthening links across the programme and identifying shared challenges and opportunities for collaboration.
CAMP also benefited from hearing updates from the Climate Modelling User Group (CMUG) and participating in the Climate Modelling World Café, held in plenary. These discussions focused on how to improve integration between Earth observation data and the climate modelling community, highlighting practical steps to strengthen dialogue and collaboration going forward.
