Data
from the EO4Urbanclimate project
The project will provide urban climate simulation results for the participating case study cities. These outputs will deliver insights into the spatial and temporal patterns of temperature within urban areas and will illustrate the added value of integrating enhanced EO data into high-resolution modelling workflows.
In addition, EO4UrbanClimate will provide the underlying enhanced LST datasets on which the simulations are based. These originate from ESA’s Climate Change Initiative LST project, where long-term global records are available at kilometre-scale resolution. They will be downscaled and tailored for city-scale applications using methods such as STEPBYSTEP and ubESTARFM, resulting in products with spatial resolutions of up to 30 metres. The adjusted datasets will be validated and made available in GeoTIFF and Zarr formats with STAC metadata to ensure discoverability and interoperability.
All project data will be made openly available through the CCI Open Data Portal and CEDA.
