Data inputs to the Methane Emissions: Testing, Reporting & Implementing Common Practices for Satellites include:
- A number of Sentinel-5P TROPOMI data products which include ESA operational XCH4 data, and IUP-WFMD XCH4 from the period 2018 to 2026
- the NASA's EMIT (Earth Surface Mineral Dust Source Investigation) from the period 2022 to 2026
- GHGSat emission source rate archive over South Asia
Intercomparison activities will use emission inventories including EDGAR (Emission Database for Global Atmospheric Research), the Copernicus Atmospheric Monitoring Services global anthropogenic emissions (CAMS-GLOB-ANT) database and Climate TRACE.
