The sixth International Ocean Colour Science (IOCS) meeting took place in Darmstadt, Germany, from 1–4 December. The event was hosted by the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT) and the European Space Agency (ESA), with support from the European Commission’s Copernicus Programme.
Both the Ocean Colour Climate Change Initiative (OC-CCI) and the Phytoplankton Biomass and Diversity Climate Change Initiative (PHYTO-CCI) were represented by Prof. Shubha Sathyendranath, Prof. Steve Groom, Dr. Gemma Kulk, and Dr. Salem I. Salem. OC-CCI was presented by Prof. Steve Groom, while Dr. Salem I. Salem prepared a joint poster highlighting the collaborative work of OC-CCI and PHYTO-CCI.
