Data from the GHG Forcings for CMIP project

Data will be provided for CO₂ and CH₄ initially, with extensions to other gases depending on the availability of satellite-observations. The data will be provided at monthly resolution from 1850 to the latest available observations. The data will be provided on a 15-degree latitudinal grid, with finer-resolution grids being developed depending on the information available from the satellite observations.

The data will be provided as netCDF files, consistent with other data available via the CCI Open data portal. The data will be validated against sources not used in the production of the composite data products, for example local observing networks.
