From satellite observations to climate indicators: reducing uncertainties of sea level rise due to melting ice sheets with PISCO

This webinar will introduce the ESA CCI PISCO (Processes for Ice Sheets in Climate models and Earth Observation) project and its work to improve our understanding of ice-sheet change and its contribution to sea level rise. It will explore how satellite observations can be used to develop climate indicators and help address uncertainties in estimates of ice-sheet mass loss.
The ESA CCI is a major research effort that generates global, decades-long satellite data records to track and understand key aspects of the Earth's climate system, known as Essential Climate Variables (ECVs).
